Introduction

The Telephone Helpline Opened in November 2000, to provide support, information and advice to adults in Staffordshire with Mental Health concerns. The service opens from 7.00pm to 2.00am weekdays, 2.00pm to 2.00am weekends - everyday of the year. Outside of this time a message can be left which the call team will reply to within 24 hours. A caring, highly skilled and dedicated team, who provide emotional support, independent information and impartial advice, staff the lines. The service is free to call from UK landlines and mobiles.

In addition, the Telephone Helpline offers a 'Ring Out' service. This service offers a call over the weekend at a mutually agreed time, offering support, as part of full care co-ordination.

The helpline staff team at times listen into calls for the purpose of training. All calls remain confidential to the service. No calls are recorded.
